    SQL Index Tuning - Dropping unused Mailbox Indexes

    digitalmarketingstrategist Rookie

      I would like to drop unused indexes.  I've determined that little or completely unused indexes (user-seeks is near or next to 0) are taking up a huge amount of space in our database.  I could delete data but it's not data that is taking up the space.

      Can anyone give a compelling argument to NOT delete the following indexes (aside from storage is cheap and just keep throwing more storage at your database to keep it as is).  This is just one example.

      Drop Index MBOXLINK On Goldmine2014.dbo.MAILBOX;

      Drop Index MBOXACCNO On Goldmine2014.dbo.MAILBOX;
