I have found the root cause and the solution for the same.
When Ivanti installs agent, it installs VC++ redistributable as part of the installation. During this process, it will reinstall these binaries on the machines if it has already installed the older version of VC++.
These binary files will not install x64 version of VC++ and its a known bug with VC++ as stated by Microsoft and can be referred via this link:
Install the agent and then install VC++ Update 5 to fix the error.
Modify the Agent configuration XML file to comment out the VC++ install step. Then create Agent install task and deploy on the machine.
I have the same workaround suggestion.
I just have one question: Ivanti agent supports any VC++ 2013 version?
Can you brief when you say "support"? do you mean the version its installing during agent?
I mean, to solve the issue modifing the XML file to skip the VC++ installation, then i supposed that should exist a previous version installed.
My question is if any VC++ 2013 installed is OK or you need to have at least the version that Ivanti agent installs without modification?
