I've checked the logs for the file. The client_task log shows a successful download of the batch file to the sdmcache.
I noticed the sdclient_bat file reads as follows....
C:\Program Files\LANDesk\LDClient\sdmcache\dfs\rtp\apps\NVivo8\Silent>call "Silent.bat"
C:\Program Files\LANDesk\LDClient\sdmcache\dfs\rtp\apps\NVivo8\Silent>"%DrivePath%\SqlExpre.Exe" /qb ADDLOCAL=ALL SQLAUTOSTART=1 INSTANCENAME="QSRNVivo8" SQLCOLLATION="Latin1_General_BIN"
C:\Program Files\LANDesk\LDClient\sdmcache\dfs\rtp\apps\NVivo8\Silent>"%DrivePath%\CRRedist2005_x86.msi" /qb
Looks like it's not moving on to the final two installations. Also, in program files I don't see the CRRedist?
Within, Scheduled Tasks this task shows as Active.
I would look at this document to add any error checking and success information into your batch files for landesk:
Also I would suggest using the method outlined here for best results when packages need to be completed in a specific order:
I will look over this document. I do have it printed.
I am aware of Provisioning and I have set it up here. I know that I could avoid all this trouble by setting up Provisioning tasks to install all these in a specific order but I felt like that was taking a shortcut to my problem. No offense to your suggestion. It is a good one.
Thanks Paul! I do not know what your batch file looks like but you can add in the failure events and success event echo's to see where the break down is

do you know this page: http://www.appdeploy.com/packages?
I don't know, which Quicktime you install, but I prefer the MSI file instead of the exe...
msiexec /i QuickTime.msi ALLUSERS=1 REGSRCH_INSTALL_ASU=0 DESKTOP_SHORTCUTS=0 ProductLanguage=1033 /qn
CrystalReport: version 11?
use the command "start /wait" before your setup.exe or msiexec...
. . .
start /wait msiexec /i "%DrivePath%\CRRedist2005_x86.msi" /qb
. . .
- What's happen if you change the installation order?
- It seems that the software (packages) needs .net 2.0, do you've installed it before? http://www.appdeploy.com/packages/detail.asp?id=645
- Check the %errorlevel% of your setup's...
- Write messages between the installation steps in a log file to see what's happen (you can sent these messages to LANDesk too...) s. http://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-2320
Yes yes, very familiar with AppDeploy. That site has saved me alot of time.
Right before your post I decided to test the order of the installations. I swapped Quicktime and Crystal. When I did that Quicktime installed just fine and again everything hit the wall with Crystal. Then I decided to use the msiexec /i command in front of the package. I believe it will work now I just need to add PING command to wait in front. The installations are hitting each other. These command lines were provided in NVivo 8 documentation. Unforutnately they didn't tell you how to troubleshoot . Thanks for the thoughts.
