This has been verified as an issue but the Development team has said they will not work on it now. Apparently nobody else has reported it and it's not important enough to fix. See the response on the open ticket below:
Please note the problem  associated with the case has now been reviewed by our product and development teams. Based on the current priority and understood impact we have been unable to schedule its fix in any of the upcoming releases. However, it is scheduled to be reconsidered should other customers report same or similar issues caused by the same defect or the impact increases.
