So - a few points ...
- Which version do you use - that would be quite helpful to know. This is important, as EPM 2017.3 onward, we've got a new agent architecture for Linux (the "component architecture" agent). If you're on (say) LDMS version 9.5, then "you need to update" quite badly.
- In (a bit) more detail, what client OS'es are we talking about here. "RHEL" is all well & good, but if you've got RHEL 3 or RHEL 4 still flying around, that's going to be a problem (not only because it's an EOL operating system, but also because only certain old agents can be installed on it). Same for Windows ... "R2" is not a version. Are we talking about Windows 2012, or Windows 2003 (and yes, I'm not kidding with the latter ... I still run into it too often).
- Have you read / thought about any of the automation stuff, things like -- Getting Started with the MBSDK (Example Scripts Included) ?
- Then there's things like Rollout projects for "light" process automation. Useful links for that are here:
There are LOTS of options of what you CAN do (again, some of it depends on what OS'es you have and what version of LDMS/EPM you're on.
Bear in mind that automating things *DOES* come as a front-loaded task ... and that a good part of it depends on how your processes work. Highly repetitive, non-decision stuff can be automated via rollout projects (for instance), but it's not always the right thing for everyone (since it's not a decision engine, which would be more like Process Manager or RES's process automation solution).
The latter (process automation engines) do communicate with API's (such as the MBSDK stuff listed above) to "work their magic", so that's certainly one area for you to look up & skill up, if needed (scripting is a VERY important skillset to have, and one that constantly evolves).
OK - so that is NOT any of the Endpoint Manager side of things (which is what this forum section is about).
You're using the ex-Lumension / HEAT stuff, which has a very separate community section over here -- Endpoint Security (ES) (Powered by HEAT) . (Unfortunately I can't move your thread there, because it's a separate community on a separate system - sorry, you'll need to repost it ).
This article may help you with some of the naming confusion -- Ivanti Product Names & Acronyms .
You're using the HEAT based "Endpoint Security" product.
So - in this case, we were talking apples to oranges, as none of the stuff that I described will apply to you, as that's for the Endpoint Manager / (old LANDesk Management Suite) side of things, and you're not on that.
OK - at least with that sorted out, I've included a link above where you can (re-)post yur question & get the relevant folks to help you with it .
Apologies if I can't do better than that since it's a separate system.
