The console is using the credentials you are logged into windows as to launch the RDP connection to the client so if they dont have rights in the domain the client is in you will have problems. If you try and RDP manually from the same PC you are running the console from you should find it will prompt you for valid credentials.
Is there a reason you want to use RDP and not Ivanti RC? RC can use its own authentication so can help get around this issue without worrying about domain trusts etc.
Thanks for the reply. When I attempt RDP from the console to a device in the same domain as the core server I still get prompted to enter credentials. Do I need to configure somewhere in the core settings a credential that has access to each domain?
As for using RDP instead of Remote Control, just a personal preference, when it works to devices on the same domain it seems to be a better overall experience.
Just to confirm is that the exact error you get without a computer name or did you remove then name? When I try and use the RDP function I am prompted for credentials by default so if this is your error your problem is that the computer name is not being pickup up by the command.
The right click menu is pulled from the registry of the local PC where you are running the console from. Can you check the command line looks like mine?
Some more info on this can be found here Right click options are missing in the Console.
Sorry for the delayed reply. I removed the name of the server in the post, also confirmed the command line looks the same in the registry.
