I know in my head AMD's are different from Intel, but I was told this was easy to do. What I am trying to do is have one base image, work for both the Intel & AMD platform. To me, I don't think you can, but if it is possible, Im all ears.
I am using ImageX with Sysprep. The latest management console with SP2. Our two desktop platforms are DC5850 (AMD) & DC5800 (Intel).
Imaging it works, but obviously Windows has an issue because it was made with the Intel image.
I am open for any ideas and am basically looking for the best way to solve this.
Thanks to everyone in advanced for all of your help and support.
It is not the processor but the drivers/hals that cuase the issues with the single image theory (mass storage, chipsets, etc...) The first (actually the only place ;-) to go to understand this from a LANDesk perspective. http://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-2714
