    parseerror external contact german

      Hello

I got the following error in BO external contact after clicking on address (in 2017.3, only with german language):

      ".... not enough cosing parenthesis."

Support confirms bug, but development has no time until more customers have the same problem.

So I had a look how o fix this:

      in BO external contact

quick Action "get address popup view"

      1. I deletet the "Address1State (State)" line (I dont need US states)

      2. go to edit translations, in the line Country, change the german translation "aus" back to "of" plus quotes and comma

      should look like this

          nspeed,

Excellent find here.  I added this information to Ivanti Developments record as a work around.

          1.  Edit the External Contact Quick Action named "Get Address Popup View".

          2.  Click on the Edit Translations link.

          3.  Alter the "German" State line as below:

          FROM:

          $(Prompt("Bundesstaat/Provinz",          „Liste der Bundesstaaten/Provinzen in den USA und Kanada",          250,          22,          false,          false,          Address1State))

          TO:

$(Prompt("Bundesstaat/Provinz",           "State List for US and Canada",          250,          22,          false,          false,          Address1State))

          4.  Edit the translation for Country as follows:

          FROM:

          $(Prompt("Land",

                   CountryLong aus AddressCountry

                   250,

                   22,

                   false,

                   false,

                   Address1Country))

          TO:

          $(Prompt("Land",

                   "CountryLong of AddressCountry",

                   250,

                   22,

                   false,

                   false,

                   Address1Country))

          5.  Save the Quick Action and refresh the application.

External Contact>> Address button should now work without errors.
