I was wondering if someone could advise me on why my batch script is not being reported by LD correctly.
LD 8.7 SP3
OS of client: XP SP2
;Script to remove Windows Desktop Search 3.01
MD "C:\temp\Office Extras"
net use w: \\Titan2\packages /persistent:no
xcopy "Office Extras" "C:\Temp\Office Extras" /E /I /V /H /Y
CD "W:\remove desktop Search 3.01"
xcopy "Test#2" "C:\temp\Remove-Instant-Search" /E /I /V /H /y
regedit /s "C:\temp\Remove-Instant-Search\Disable-WDS-Prompt.reg"
C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallKB917013$\spuninst\spuninst.exe /passive /warnrestart /forceappsclose
net use W: /delete
RMDIR "C:\temp\Remove-Instant-Search" /s /q
The script runs fine and does what it is supposed to do. When the uninstaller package for Windows Desktop Search is run, it reboots the computer in 30 seconds and then the computer reboots. The problem is that LD has the scheduled task as ACTIVE with the result of "REBOOTING". This will remain that way for 24 hours or until the task timeout.
How can I fix this so that LD is reporting correctly?
