I have about 3000 preferred servers to configure and was wondering if anyone has written a PowerShell script to create the share paths\rights needed and IIS settings. I am in short looking for any shortcut I can leverage to configure these boxes as preferred servers. If any of you folks with large environments have some ideas or a sample ps script I can modify and use I would be so thankful.

3,000 sounds a bit OTT (but can happen, I suppose) ... just VERY fragmented.
I'm not aware of anyone having scripted it as such (though I'd be surprised if someone hadn't) ... but it'd be specific to them I'd assume (i.e. create *THIS* UNC-share ... create *THIS* same share in IIS).
I suspect - other than the directory structures - USUALLY the problem tends to be more "dealing with the 1-5% of "£)$(*"£$"£$ crappy link PPS'es" (some things hanging off a shoddy 56 KB modem, attempting to transfer 100+ GB of data) ... .
That's not really what I am asking. I have 3000 servers that I want to make preferred servers with the same share paths and rights. was just wondering if anyone had a script that I could modify that I could deploy something using GPO or even a powershell to configure those settings via the scrit so I do not manually have to go make iis shares on 3K servers.
Yeah - I noticed (and "answered" to the wrong thread) - hence I edited my response.
Hoped I'd catch it before you did ... my apologies for any confusion .
