I am getting a error "Cannot request exclusive semaphores at interrupt time" while trying to push out an .exe program. I used landesk packagebulider to make the push and ran the .exe on another computer manually and it installs with out issue. Any help would be great cannot find anything on Semaphores on the site. thanks again Matt
The Local System account does not have rights to execute the program. Add the Domain Computers group to the share in Permissions and Security.
i am able to install it locally cannot push still getting error.
I believe that Gerald is right. The LocalSystem account does not have rights. You can fix that by giving the Domain Computers group rights to the share.

As Gerald and Mach6 stated this error is ussally related to permission and the localsystem account. When you push a package with LDMS it uses the localsystem accout(unless otherwise specified). You can test to see if local system has enough rights to install your package by following the steps in http://community.landesk.com/support/docs/DOC-2316
Once you have the localsystem command prompt open try top run the install from within there.
So in hopes of shedding a bit of light on the error.. Without getting overly technical here, a Semaphore is used to gain access to (and control of) system files and/or system resources. This error essentially says "I cannot access the requested resources", which is almost always a permissions issue that can be trouble shot using the above posts suggestions.
Jason, Gerald and Mach6;
Very helpfull with the permissions on the share.. i think there is just something wrong with the .exe from the vendor all my other .exe pushs work just fine and are able to access the share. i got an msi from the vendor and was able to make an .mst. thanks for the help
