Batch file error - UNC paths - Sun Java distribution error

      Hi there,

      Landesk v9, 5800 nodes.

I have read the PDF article on the best batch file creation.  I have read this article -

Only difference betwen this article and what I ma doing is that I am trying to load the Java update 18, so the command on page 6 would look like this -

      jre-6u18-windows-i586-p-s.exe /qn ADDLOCAL=ALL REBOOT=Suppress JAVAUPDATE=0 EULA=1 IEXPLORER=1

I am having trouble after writing my batch file where it says that UNC paths are not allowed.  I understand to make the batch file first, then to add my "EXE" file as "Additional files" in order to get it to download the EXE to the SDMcache directory.

I don't understand what I am doing wrong.  I really don't want to mess with domain permissions by adding Domain Computers to the share permissions or something silly like that.

Perhaps I should have the batch file copy the EXE down to the SDMcache first then run the program with the above parameters?

Any advice would help out... a lot.

      Thanks - in advance.
